I don’t hate.

Filed under: My Life — happychick @ 6.38p01

However many time I’ve thought it, said it, and thought I’d meant it, I’ve never said “I hate you” with any actual feeling. Sure, I dislike people. I dislike a great many people. I even despise some people. But hate? It’s a very commonly-used word, and don’t get me wrong, I say it more often than I say “I love you”… but I think I’ll try and cut down. I have no idea how I’d feel if someone said “I hate you”… it would cut me real deep.

  3. It’s good that you never meant it when you said it, but I think you’ve hit on something important. Words can hurt far worse than you ever intend them to.

    • I had no idea that you posted in here. Although you’re right about words being able to hurt far worse than people ever intend them to, it seems to me that you’re a hypocrite in that you can’t stand it when people say things you don’t like but go right ahead and type things that other people don’t like. If I’m you, I’d practice what I preach.

  4. Hmmm when I think of it words do have quite an effect on people, and as much as i like to think that they dont affect me, they do.
